Beauty Tag

So while I was waiting, praying for my soul at my dentist's office today...I came across this beauty tag. I figured it'd be far more entertaining than a story about my teeth...and how I was telling my husband about me being such a "strong girl", under conscious sedation, of course. At least I wasn't a weirdo like the time I got my wisdom teeth pulled out. I told my hubby to get my wisdom teeth from the surgeon because I wanted to make a necklace out of them. Haaa!

QUESTIONS:

1.) Would you rather lose all of your mascaras, eyeliners, lipsticks, and lipglosses or lose all of your palettes and eyeshadows?

I think I would rather lose all of my mascaras, eyeliners, lipsticks, and lipglosses over my palettes and eyeshadows because I have one eyeliner, one mascara, and about 10 lipsticks. How many eyeshadow palettes do I have?  a BAJILLION!

2.) Would you rather chop off all your hair or never be able to cut it again?

Ummm...I'd rather never cut my hair again. I mean I'm eventually gonna start losing my hair and go bald, right? In about 60 somethin' years from now ;)

3.) Would you rather have a coral cheek or a pink cheek?

If you can't already tell...pink is my favorite color. If pink was a person, I'd marry him. But...I'm gonna have to go with a coral cheek. Sorry, pink!

4.) If you had $1000 to spend, would you rather buy clothes or makeup?

Definitely clothes! I think I have enough makeup to last me a lifetime.

5.) Would you rather apply lipstick as eyeliner, or eyeliner as lipstick?

Eyeliner as a lipstick. I'm not sure if applying a lipstick as an eyeliner is even possible?

6.) Would you rather only shop at MAC or Sephora?

I think we all know the answer to this... S E P H O R A.

7.) Would you rather only use one eyeshadow color or one lip color for the rest of your life?

Uhhh, one lip color for sure!

8.) Would you rather wear winter clothes in summer or summer clothes in winter?

I just got goosebumps thinking about wearing summer clothes in winter. oh my gah. Winter clothes in the summer, please and thank you!

9.) Would you rather have dark nails or bright nails all year round?

Bright nails all day, err day!

10.) Would you rather give up your favorite lip product or your favorite eye product?

Favorite lip product.

11.) Would you rather only be able to wear your hair in a ponytail or a messy bun?

I like messy buns so messy bun it is.

12.) Would your rather never be able to paint your nails again or never use lipgloss?

I'd rather never use lipgloss. I absolutely HATE lipgloss. Eewww.

13.) Would you rather shave your eyebrows and have none at all or sharpie them in everyday?

Why does this question exist? Someone please poke my eyeballs out. I'd rather shave my head off than do either of these 2 things. Now excuse me while I go and re-apply my eyebrows with a...sharpie.

14.) Would you rather live without makeup or nail polish?

Nail polish, DUH.

Happy Tuesday, Y'all :)

And...I'm back!

Last time I blogged was EIGHT months ago? Wow. That's one heck of a long vacation from blogging. Remember when I said I would blog often back in January? Yeah...about that. So much has happened in the past 8 months that I could seriously write a book. Not really...but you get the point, right?  And since I'm a nice person...I'm gonna go ahead and give you guys the sparknotes of my past 8 months. You're welcome :)

  • In the past 8 months, I bought a crap ton of makeup that I probably didn't need.
  • In the past 8 months, I binge watched 5 seasons of The Vampire Diaries.
  • In the past 8 months, I attempted to blog only to hit "save as a draft" every single time.
  • In the past 8 months, I found a job and started working.
  • In the past 8 months, I traveled to San Antonio, Austin, Denver, New York City, Rochester, Buffalo, and DC.
  • In the past 8 months, I collected a bajillion colored pens that will most likely last me a lifetime.
  • In the past 8 months, I got my wisdom teeth pulled out.
  •  In the past 8 months, I attempted to read 3 different books and I sadly didn't get past chapter 4 on all 3 of the books.
  • In the past 8 months, I attended more weddings than I thought I was capable of attending.
  • In the past 8 months, I attended 2 concerts (3rd concert is right around the corner!)
  • In the past 8 months, I probably went to the salon a dozen times to get my hair cut short but somehow ended up coming back home with just a "trim" every time.
  • In the past 8 months, I went to 2 theme parks and 1 water park. Will I ever grow up? No.

I think it's safe to say that I have covered all the "important" events that took place in my life in the past 8 months, with the exception of my birthday. And attending the rodeo. And...I told ya I could write a book ;)
{my motivation to blog everyday, teehee}

Happy Friday, y'all!

Have you ever?

Have you ever been so addicted to something so ridiculous such as a reality TV show? I almost died today when I realized I have been watching "The Bachelor" since 2007. SEVEN freakin' years y'all, seven freakin' years! I'm not gonna lie, I really enjoyed some of the seasons but that doesn't change the fact that this TV show is downright absurd. Twenty-five (sometimes even more than 25) educated women, pause their lives, leave their careers, pack their bags and come on a TV show to find love because all the eligible bachelors in their city somehow disappeared! Some of the girls are so heavily invested by the first rose ceremony that sometimes I don't know if I should laugh at them or feel sorry for them. My favorite part of it all is when their claws come out because they hate sharing their "potential future husband" with the other girls. Sweetie, newsflash! Last time I checked, all the other girls came on the show to find "love" just like you did. With that said, I do like watching this show BECAUSE of all the craziness mentioned above and more. However, this season with Juan Pablo is extremely boring (sorry Pablo, Juan-uary is over and so is my love for this season!) He's just so blah. I can seriously go on and on about how boring this season is. Did these educated girls really leave their careers behind for HIM? But who knows? Maybe they did it for some fame!
Moving on, some of my favorite seasons of The Bachelor/ette were- both the seasons with Brad Womack, Emily's season, Sean's season (omg I totally cried after watching Sean and Catherine's wedding. Such cuties! Seriously), Jason Mesnick's season and yes, I think I semi liked Jake Pavelka's season (but mainly because of the psycho also known as Vienna Girardi.)
I'm not sure, or should I say that I don't care how this season ends or who he picks, but, I'm assuming he might end up choosing Nikki. She's a pediatric nurse which makes her a nice, caring person and since he has a daughter that he loves unconditionally (yet he left her to be on the show? Yeah, I don't get it either?) she should be the perfect match, in my opinion at least. But lets see how the season unfolds.

Rant over. Happy Tuesday :)

new year + new blog

hello hello!

I know I've been absent for quite some time now, but, I have some valid excuses, #1 being the BIG move to the great state of TEXAS. All of December was dedicated to packing, driving to Houston after fighting a snow storm, unpacking and catching up with family! Then came 2014...just like that! And of course, if you can't already tell, I spent the beginning of 2014 giving my blog a makeover. I'm still new to all this "html" shebang but hopefully in the next couple weeks, I will have my blog looking just the way I want it to.

I know that at the beginning of a new year, people usually sit down and reflect back on the previous year and all I can say is that I am so blessed because last year was beyond amazing! Not only did hubs and I complete our first year of marriage, but we also got the opportunity to live in a great city that we enjoyed very much. We really enjoyed having the convenience of walking literally EVERYWHERE (gym, grocery store, museums, movie theater, malls etc). I'd be lying if I say that I don't miss Chicago especially because last year we experienced a "mild" winter (yeah right!), BUT this year the "real" Chicago weather is in full swing- I'm talking about lots of snow and the temperature highs being in the negatives. I know I sound crazy wanting to be in Chicago at this time of the year, but I think it would have been a great experience. The year we were there went by so fast and I can't believe that we are already back in Texas! While I have been enjoying the bipolar weather of Houston, one thing I know for sure is that I will forever cherish the memories we made in Chicago!

Now that we are back in Houston, I am job searching and working on personal goals that I hope to accomplish this year. I don't have any new years "resolutions" per se other than read books often, keep up with my blog, do lots of DIY projects, increase my knowledge in religion, become a better person, and most importantly, be grateful and count my blessings every single day.

Other than that, I hope you guys are having a great 2014 because I know I am ;)
